How can I create a promotion in Mirakl?

Promotion Types 

There are several types of promotions depending on the configuration of your operator: 

  • Percentage Off
    • Example: - 10% on laptops
  • Amount Off
    • Example: - €10 on Blu-rays
  • Free Items [not implemented yet]
    • Example: Buy a laptop, get a free gaming mouse 
 

How to Configure a Promotion in Mirakl

Promotion Descriptions

When creating a Promotion, a Public Description is required in the corresponding fields so that it appears on the Marketplace. The description you enter must be provided in English and Greek in one of the following formats:

  • -XX% on all products from [shop]
  • -XX% σε όλα τα προϊόντα από [κατάστημα]

  • -XX% on orders over €XX from [shop]
  • -ΧΧ% σε αγορές άνω των €XX από [κατάστημα]

  • -XX% on orders over €X on [brand] from [shop]
  • -ΧΧ% σε αγορές άνω των €XX σε [brand] από [κατάστημα]

  • -XX% on selected products from [shop]
  • -ΧΧ% σε επιλεγμένα προϊόντα από [κατάστημα]

"Percentage Off" Promotion

  1. Go to Price and stock > Promotions > My Promotions
  2. Click Create Promotion
  3. Complete all information required
  4. Click Create Promotion

"Amount Off" Promotion

  1. Go to Price and stock > Promotions > My Promotions
  2. Click Create Promotion

Adding a Promo Code to a Promotion

  • When the promo code field is empty, the promotion automatically applies when the promotion conditions are met, and the customer does not need to enter a promo code.
  • You can reuse the same promo code in different promotions, even if they are Active at the same time.
  • Promo codes must have the following format:
    • Type: string
    • Character limit: 255
    • Permitted characters: alphanumeric, -_+[]
    • No spaces.
  • To create a promotion and add a promo code:
    1. In the back office sidebar menu, select Price and stock > Promotions.
    2. Click Create a Promotion.
    3. Enter values in the required fields.
    4. Enter a code in the Promo code field using the specified format.
    5. Click Create promotion once you have finished configuring the promotion.

Modifying a Promotion

  • You can only add a promo code to an existing promotion if it has the "Upcoming" or "Waiting for approval" status.
  • Once a promotion is "Active", the promo code can no longer be changed.
  • To modify a promotion, click the promotion's Internal description from its Price and stock > Promotions page.
